Essi Koski-Lammi

Essi Koski-Lammi returns to Crush with a moment of stillness to ground the day.

This year, she’s offering free meditation sessions three times a day, plus an exclusive offer to continue your journey with her afterward. You will have a  space to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself in-between the sessions and networking.

You might remember Essi from last year, when she co-hosted the WOW Your Authenticity workshop with Jenni Demus. Her guided meditation session became a powerful turning point in the day, offering a calm pause that received so much positive feedback from our attendees that we had to invite her back!

When I met Essi for the first time, I immediately felt her presence: calm, warm, and deeply intuitive. Sitting next to her, there’s a quiet strength that invites you to lower your guard. This is exactly the kind of energy we need more of.

Why does this matter?

Because inner alignment is a necessity when constant distractions pull us in every direction. Your inner world directly shapes your outer success.

Essi’s work gently reminds us that you don’t have to hustle your way to clarity or confidence.

Interview with Essi

Essi, you have an interesting background—could you tell our readers a bit about your story?

Essi: My journey has been anything but linear. It all started when my dad went through a burnout. At the time, no one knew what burnout was, but his healing journey led him to become an energy healer, and he started teaching me when I was a teen.

Imagine, I did my first energy healing over 22 years ago! Though I have studied with many other teachers as well, he still mentors me today.

I've lived in many countries, from Hong Kong to the Netherlands, and always dreamed of being a businesswoman. I earned my MSc in Business Studies from the University of Amsterdam and worked for years in global media, branding, and marketing for brands like ASICS, Heineken, and Rituals Cosmetics.

Until one Saturday morning, I woke up realizing that though my life was good on paper, I wasn't happy.

This led me to return to my self-healing studies, become a transformation life coach, and later, a yoga teacher. When COVID-19 hit the planet, I was let go from my corporate job due to a company restructure. But I was ready to start my own business. I packed my life into a few boxes, and let go of my past. After all the letting go, I went through a very difficult identity crisis. I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted. I knew that I had to transform something within me, if I wanted a new type of life. Because I strongly believe that if you want to transform your life, it needs to start with your inner world.

I worked for hours, days and weeks, dare to say, well… years… on myself with the support of healers and coaches. It was anything but easy. But, now I have cultivated a very deep relationship with myself, I know who I am, I know who I want to become. I had been pushing through life with masculine doing-mode, now my feminine energy is in full bloom, and I am much more balanced. After all that self-healing, I deeply realized that I didn’t need to be or do anything else than just make space for more of me. I needed to be me!

When I started to understand who I deeply, authentically was underneath all the trauma, social conditioning and life of “shoulds”, I reconnected with my old dream and studied a diploma in interior design. I also started coaching others on their path.

What do you do now?

Essi: I combine my expertise in business, energy work, life coaching, and interior design to empower women to transform their homes, businesses, lives—and most importantly, themselves. My goal is to help them foster greater authenticity, alignment, purpose, and fulfillment.

To transform your life, home, or business, you must first look within. It all starts with you. How you live, work, and care for yourself is deeply influenced by the connection between your inner world and the outer spaces around you.

But even if it starts within, my services address both sides: I guide you to look within through life coaching and energy work, and I help you create an environment that aligns with your inner essence—whether by designing your home, your business space, or helping you realign your business. By focusing on both your internal and external environments, we create a balance that supports your well-being and success.

You talk a lot about living an authentic life, what does it mean for you?

Essi: Living authentically means staying true to who you truly are at your core. It’s about aligning your actions, choices, and energy not just with your values but with your heart and soul. Your true self.

When you live your life deeply connected to this eternal part of yourself, you feel like you are living your purpose. You feel that you are on the right path, even if you face obstacles, detours and difficult moments, you trust the inner guidance. Your inner safety comes from within you, not just around you.

Your career and work feels meaningful, joyful often your work is your true passion. Work doesn't feel like work. Even if money is important for all of us, your work is more than that. Whatever you do, you serve others from your heart, not just from ego.

What comes to your home, it is a reflection of you. Your home becomes more unique space, a safe cocoon, that helps you be the person who you truly are. It is decorated the way that it supports your evolution and holistic wellbeing.

You are a strong advocate for feminine energy in business. Tell us more.

Essi: Everyone has masculine and feminine energy within them. Before I go further, let’s define what I mean with feminine energy. It is the nurturing, soft, flowing, being, chaotic, creative, intuitive, vulnerable, emotional side of you. While masculine energy is all about strategy, action, planning, doing, pushing, thinking, logic and so on.

With every businesswoman I work within, and through my own journey, I have noticed that in the business world, we rely on the masculine energy and suppress the feminine side.

But the problem is that women make themself smaller that way, they are not operating in their full power and they feel exhausted to be that way. In the ideal world, you should be using both of the sides of you.

Through my own journey, I have realized that the more I strive for the masculine and feminine energy balance in business, the better, more energized I feel.

Why do you think inner work is especially important for women in business today?

Essi: I believe inner work is always important, but for women in business, it’s crucial. Inner work is about evolving—constantly growing into the person you want to be, while also accepting and loving the person you are right now. Just like nature, change is constant, and as part of nature, why wouldn’t we want to evolve?

Inner work is a lifestyle for me. It’s about being curious about myself and my journey. As you deepen your self-awareness, your life becomes richer. You become happier because happiness comes from within. You experience more love because you start by loving yourself. Your self-worth increases, and you begin to see your value reflected in how others perceive you. You take bigger risks, make bolder steps in business, and your self-confidence soars. It’s all about knowing yourself, accepting yourself, and being open to growth.

Women often make themselves smaller—feeling they are not enough, not wanted, are too much or not loved. They shrink themselves to fit the expectations of others. When you release these limiting beliefs and do the inner work, your energy expands. The way you show up in the world becomes more powerful, and that power comes from your heart. When women stand in their full power, the world becomes a better place.

Your work is not just about inner work - you’re also a conscious interior designer. How does it all play together?

Essi: For me, everything is connected. My work in conscious interior design and inner work go hand in hand. I believe there's a deep connection between the spaces within us and the environments we spend time in. The way we live, work, and move through the world is shaped by both. This is the heart of my work: Helping you create spaces—inside & out—that fully support you.

I design both businesses and homes, understanding that each space plays a vital role in our lives. Homes are our personal sanctuaries, reflecting who we are, and who we want to become. Your home should nurture your sense of peace, comfort, and well-being.

Likewise, with my background in branding, marketing, interior design, and well-being, I take a holistic approach to creating harmonious, on-brand work environments that reduce stress, increase productivity and support both personal and business growth and well-being.

Essi, last year you were speaking at Crush with Jenni Demus. Your speech got so much good feedback and this year you are returning to lead meditations at Crush. Why is meditation so important, and what can attendees expect from your sessions at the upcoming event?

Essi: Meditation is essential because of all the benefits that are also backed by research. It brings clarity, boosts energy, helps you release stress and makes you feel calm. It reconnects you with yourself and your inner strength. In a world where we’re constantly distracted, taking a moment to pause, breathe, and center ourselves can make a profound difference.

At the upcoming Crush event, I’ll be leading short meditation sessions designed to help attendees reconnect with their inner peace and clarity. Each session will focus on a different theme, offering a space to release tension, gain insight, and reconnect with yourself. Expect a serene and uplifting experience that will leave you feeling empowered and ready to move forward with confidence.

We’re so excited to welcome Essi Koski-Lammi back to the Crush!

Essi's meditation space will be upstairs at the Stock Exchange Building, in the lobby area before entering the Rebel Stage.
